Jagex Accounts

Use the launcher import flow to save local Jagex character entries, then switch them from the in-game Edgeville Accounts panel.

Private by Design

Edgeville does not ask for or store Jagex passwords, cookies, browser sessions, or Jagex tokens. The import watches the local RuneLite bridge file that the official Jagex flow writes on your PC.

Launcher Import

Open EgevilleLabs.exe, click JX, choose Import Jagex, sign in through the official Jagex window, choose RuneLite and the character, then press Play once. Edgeville imports the selected character entry.

In-Game Switching

Enable Edgeville Accounts from the Edgeville hub, open the purple account icon, then press Switch on the saved character. Play OSRS on the launcher remains a plain client launch.

Step 1: Import from the launcher

Click the launcher JX button, choose Import Jagex, and follow the official Jagex sign-in. After you select a character and press Play once, Edgeville reads the bridge file and stores the selected character locally.

Step 2: Confirm the local account file

Saved entries live at %USERPROFILE%\.runelite\edgeville-accounts.json. Keep this file private because it controls local account switching.

Step 3: Switch inside RuneLite

Launch the client, validate your Edgeville auth key, enable Edgeville Accounts from the hub, open the account side panel, and use Switch on the character you want.

Legacy accounts

Legacy username/password notes are handled only by the in-game account panel. The launcher Play OSRS button intentionally starts a plain client and does not select a Jagex character.

Re-importing a character

If a character expires or changes, import it again through the launcher. The new local entry replaces the stale one for that character name.
